Matichon is conducting a seminar “5G Moving Thailand In The Changing World” drawing in NBTC-Huawei-Ericsson-Qualcomm to help prepare people for the rapid changes in advanced technology that will help to make life more convenient
On February 23 at the Pullman Bangkok King Power Hotel in Soi Rangnam Matichon newspaper will conduct the seminar entitled “How To Be Ready For 5G” with Chairman of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) General Sukit Khamasundara presiding over the opening of the seminar.
Managing Director of Matichon Plc Thakoon Boonparn said that since the 40th anniversary of Matichon in 2017 the company had foreseen Thailand’s direction from the Government’s vision for Thailand 4.0 as well as the possibility of technology changing the world in every aspect, hence it is organizing this seminar to educate Thais about technology and its impact on start-ups and for fintech, etc.
Mr.Thakoon said that in 2018, the Editorial Department of Matichon newspaper would continue to hold seminars on the direction of the world, and the direction of Thailand which is related to global developments, and for the seminar entitled “5G Moving Thailand In The Changing World” it has invited knowledgeable people from the Government and the private sectors to tell the story of 5G which the world is preparing for in 2020.
Thailand has identified 5G in its current economic development plan in the logistics category and the deployment of this technology in Thailand will enable devices such as telephones and appliances to help companies, cities or even government management be more convenient, with an increase in efficiency and cost savings.
Mr.Thakoon said, however, that for the use of 5G technology in our daily lives, in companies and by the nation, Thais needed to understand the new technology beforehand, so that they could apply it when the time comes.
There are key speakers in the seminar, including Secretary General of the NBTC Takorn Tantasith whose keynote address is entitled “5G Moving Thailand in the Changing World” and Mr.Zhou Dongfei, 5G Technology expert of Huawei Technology whose presentation is entitled “5G Global Development Trends”.
Huawei Technologies Ltd’s Development and 5G Business Director Mr.Lu Liming’s presentation is entitled “What 5G Will Bring To Thailand’s Future?” and Ericsson’s Head of Network Solutions Mr.Wutichai Wuthiudomleart’s presentation is entitled “5G Moves The World Forward”.
Qualcomm International Inc.’s Director Government affairs Taiwan, Southeast Asia & Pacific Mr.Alex Organge will address the topic : “How To Be Ready For 5G”.
In addition, there will also be demonstrations of 5G technology and devices innovations in the seminar room area.
