เปิดรายชื่อผู้เข้าชิง ออสการ์ ครั้งที่ 98 Sinners สร้างสถิติใหม่ ชิงมากสุดตลอดกาล

เมื่อวันที่ 22 มกราคม งานประกาศรางวัลอคาเดมี อวอร์ดส์ หรือ ออสการ์ ครั้งที่ 98 งานประกาศรางวัลที่ยิ่งใหญ่ที่สุดของวงการภาพยนตร์ ประกาศรายชื่อผู้เข้าชิงทั้งหมด 24 สาขาเป็นที่เรียบร้อย โดยงานประกาศรางวัลออสการ์ในปีนี้ จะจัดขึ้น ณ โรงละครดอลบี เธียเตอร์ นครลอสแอนเจลิส ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ในวันที่ 15 มีนาคม ตามเวลาท้องถิ่น ซึ่งตรงกับวันจันทร์ที่ 16 มีนาคม เวลา 06.00 น. ตามเวลาประเทศไทย ซึ่งความพิเศษในปีนี้คือ การเพิ่มสาขาใหม่ 1 สาขา อันได้แก่ สาขาคัดเลือกนักแสดงยอดเยี่ยม

ภาพยนตร์ที่มีชื่อเข้าชิงรางวัลมากที่สุดในปีนี้ ได้แก่ Sinners ที่ 16 สาขา ถือเป็นการทำลายสถิติภาพยนตร์ที่ได้รับการเสนอชื่อเข้าชิงสูงที่สุดตลอดกาลของเวทีประกาศรางวัลออสการ์ ซึ่งก่อนหน้านี้ All About Eve (1950) Titanic (1997) และ La La Land (2016) ทำไว้ที่ 14 สาขา

ตามมาเป็นอันดับ 2 คือ One Battle After Another ที่ 13 สาขา และ Frankenstein, Marty Supreme และ Sentimental Value ที่ 9 สาขา
